Louise Roe Hosts “Royal Baby Shower” To Celebrate The New Mini Boden Collection

British retailer Boden, fêted its new Mini Boden spring collection, with a “Royal Baby Shower” hosted by everyone’s favorite Brit, Louise Roe. The ultra-chic shower in honor of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s soon-to-arrive royal baby was held at the beautifully appointed West Village restaurant and cocktail bar, While We Were Young.

The adult guests pulled up baby blue bar stools to the curved white marble bar where the bartender was serving up perfect pastel cocktails including their signature “Too Good For You” kale, cucumber, and tequila concoction. Meanwhile, over by the posh pink velour banquette, the tiny guests explored their creativity with a bit of cookie decorating.

The children’s collection featured very British details such as hand-finished embroidered corgis on luxurious cashmere and little London buses printed on organic cotton. The delicious brunch bites included the raspberry meringue “Eton Mess”, in honor of Eton College Chapel where Prince Harry attended school and where our hostess Louise Roe married her husband.

On behalf of everyone in attendance, Boden will be making a donation to Baby2Baby, a charity that holds great importance to Louise as the charity has distributed over 50 million units of diapers, clothing and basic necessities to children in need.
